Using the Camera to take snaps from within Groups sometimes causes it to Crash |
| The Camera unfortunately consumes a ridiculous amount of memory, which we believe is a big problem with the Apple SDK/iPhone/iPod Touch. Due to the amount of overall memory it consumes, it causes the OS to believe that Groups is trying to use more memory than a normal app on the iPhone should and thus causes it to be terminated by the OS. There is no work around to this problem till Apple resolves it. We would strongly advise you don't use the Camera when editing contacts in Groups as this would cause it to crash or freeze frequently. This may not happen for smaller address books but will most definitely be a problem for people with contacts more than or close to around a 1000. Although Groups safely replaces the Contacts app on the iPhone, you will unfortunately have to use the Contacts app to update contacts with images taken from the Camera. |
