I lost all my SMS history and iPhone crashed

If you were trying to send a SMS to more than 50 users at a time and the iPhone crashed, this was triggered by a known iOS bug. This is NOT a Groups bug and has been present in iOS since iOS 4.0. This bug has been reported to Apple several times and is still present in iOS 4.2.1. The bug causes your iPhone to reboot when attempting to send a SMS to a large group and then upon restarting you find all your SMS history lost.

For this reason Groups now warns users before they attempt to send a SMS to a large group. Always send in a group of 50 users in one go until Apple fixes this.
