How do I remove recitation files from iQuran on Android?

If you have downloaded some recitation files and wish to later remove them on your Android device, you will need to do so directly from the SD Card.

To do this first connect your phone with your PC and select 'File Sharing' mode so that the phone mounts your SD Card as a disk drive.

Next, goto the the newly mounted drive where you should now see a ' iQuran' folder. Double click to open that and then open the ' audio_v2' folder. This is where all your audio files are stored.

In the audio_v2 folder you will find one or more numbered folders. Each number corresponds to a particular reciter. In case you downloaded recitations for various reciters and wish to delete a chapter for one particular reciter, you will need to use the following map to figure out which folder to navigate to:

Folder Reciter
0 Husary
1 Mishary
2 Shuraim
3 Abu Bakr
4 Abdul Basit
5 Ghamdi
6 Mahir

Navigate to the folder that belongs to the reciter you're looking for. In there you will find more numbered folders. Each numbered folder corresponds to the chapter number (e.g. folder 114 points to chapter 114). Simply delete the folder and you're doing.

Finally, unmount the drive, disconnect the phone and relaunch iQuran. iQuran will automatically determine which chapters got deleted.
