How do I add a custom city in Prayer Times Pro/Extra? |
| In order to add a custom city, you need to first gather the following
information for the city (which can be easily obtained from the
internet): 1. Name of city 2. GMT (Time zone), e.g. -5 3. Latitude of the city (e.g 51.5167) 4. Longitude of the city (e.g. -0.7) Latitude needs to be a positive number if it's a point above the equator. Otherwise it will be a negative number. So if you see a latitude such as "51.516 N", this will be entered into Prayer Times as "51.516". If it was "51.516 S", it would be entered in as "-51.516" Similarly, for longitudes that fall in the west would be represented with a negative sign, while longitudes that fall in the east would be positive numbers. In order to add a custom city, start Prayer Times Pro/Extra and then click the Menu Button. From the list that is shown, select "Cutom Cities". A screen with possibly empty values will be shown to you in case you have never added a custom city before. The screen will have three empty locations (thus you may add three custom cities). From this point you can either select an already added city or create a new one. To create a new one, Simply click on the Menu button again and from the list, select "Add City". Now a screen will be shown to you where the above required fields will need to be filled in. Once you've entered all details, click on Menu again and select "OK". This will save the custom city and will take you back to the main custom cities screen. From here you can now select this city by click on Menu again and selecting "Select City". Doing so will refresh the screen and will take you back to the main display with the new city selected. |
