Question Title What does this 'Muslim thing' have to do with 2Do? Who are you people?
Nothing.

We'd like to dispel some (unnecessary) fears a minority of users have developed. Yes undoubtedly Islam or Muslims have come under scrutiny round the world (the media) and needless fear has developed (ironic: word 'Islam' derives from Peace!). We however appreciate the emails we receive and take them very lightly (and unfortunately had to add this to the FAQs!). We could simply reply back with a 'Boo!' - but that might really scare you, right? Seriously.

2Do has nothing to do with any religion. There is no "Muslim thing" anywhere. Being a Muslim is like being a Jew, Christian, Hindu or an Atheist. We hate to justify this or make religion any part of this (since the burden of proof lies on the accuser) but this is simply to put the record straight. We're (rightfully) fed up of reading and listening to uninformed reviews/emails/comments: 'Jihad' (Oh no, not the J word!) simply literally means a struggle, not fight! Any Arabic speaking person will tell this to you. Put in the wrong context, used and practiced by the wrong people and pounced with ignorance simply results in it meaning "I kill you". In Islam killing a soul is like killing the whole of humanity. Please stop being paranoid, please. Live and let live. 2Do will not stab you in the middle of the night while you sleep! (Although that would be a cool 'technology' to obtain. MuAhAhAha. - kidding!)

These applications happen to be developed by people who are Muslims. Being a Muslim should not be a crime nor of concern to an end user. You wouldn't ask "Who are you people" when buying Milk or Bread from a local shop. If you would, seriously you need to stop.

Privacy
In case of Push and Email alerts, we take privacy very seriously and respect it in every way possible. Only information required for a particular alarm is sent to our servers, and that too with minimal information as possible (alarm time details, and task title). This information is never inspected, overlooked, observed, read, transferred, copied, post processed or translated. If a Task's title wasn't important (which unfortunately it is during an alert), we wouldn't be sending that over the air either.

Our Push servers are no less secure than any other push server used by other apps. In fact we can safely say our privacy policy is far more reserved than what may be the norm. Really.
