Question Title Will I lose everything (recitations and bookmarks) if I update to iQuran v2.2?
Yes - if you are coming from v2.1.2 or earlier, you will lose everything. It is mandatory that you delete the previous version. The new version works around bugs already present in iTunes that causes backups to not respond for several hours. Even if you did not delete the previous installation, the previously downloaded chapters will not be available. Nothing from the previous version will work with v2.2 as the internal architecture was revamped.

This was all done to fix backup and sync issues with iTunes. Apple knows about the problem but said they won't be fixing it as apparently only iQuran triggers the problem in iTunes. Thus we had no choice but to change the way it works. Please uninstall iQuran on your iPhone/iPod, tap on "Buy Now" from App Store again (to download the free version) and install that inshAllah.

Asak brother i was using previous ver of iquran as i got a message of iquran update in my appstore i tried update but after deleting the previous version the new version is not installing the iphoe restart if i try installing through itunes as well. can u help me install iquran back on my iphone. jazakallah GuidedWays: Please kindly update your firmware to v2.1 as the firmware you have has a number of bugs that affect iQuran's installation.
