Question Title How do I search in iQuran?
Note: The following only applies to iQuran v2.2 available on the App Store
(Note that the search feature will NOT be added to iQuran v1.x for Jailbroken iPhones and iPod Touch).

The latest free update to iQuran (v2.2) offers the long awaited feature of being able to perform searches on the Quran. The exciting news is that iQuran will allow searching every translation it offers + the Arabic text too! So if you have an Arabic enabled iPhone (via 3rd party support for now), you will be able to search the Quran inshAllah in Arabic.

There is now a new button at the bottom of the view named "Search". Click on this to reveal the Search View. Every time you search for a word, two texts are searched:

1. The Arabic Translation (in case typed text was in Arabic)
2. The Currently Selected Translation (this could be anything, English, French, Spanish etc).

Results are then displayed on screen, separated by the Surahs the verses appear under.

You should note that the search field itself is extremely powerful and so you can perform very complicated searches. For example:

1. Allah AND Good will search for the word "Allah" and "Good" in a single verse .
2. Allah OR Good
will search for the word "Allah" OR "Good" in any verse

Note that the use of "AND" and "OR" is case-sensitive, i.e. if you were to type: Allah or Good this would simply search for all verses that contain the full phrase "Allah or Good".

You can also perform other searches such as:

1. "This is" OR "and that" OR "hell" which will search for the phrases typed between quotes and return any verse that has one of these verses.

2. Th* will search for any word that begins with a "Th". So matches will contain "That", "This", "Thus" and so on.

You may also use the special characters + and - (which you do when searching in Google as well) against words to tell iQuran which word to give precedence to. So Good -bad will search for verses where there's 'Good' but no 'Bad'
